FORUM RULES AND REGULATIONS:
Please note that this is not your normal "blah blah" message that you ignore. Though this will be five minutes of your life you will never get back, those five minutes you spend reading these rules will help you understand the forums better so you can have more fun here. As a member, it is required that you read and cooperate with these rules. If you are a member, it is assumed that you have agreed to the regulated policies of this forum.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Upon registering at the forums, you agree to the following set of rules. Every time you make a post, you renew your commitment to follow the rules and any updates made to them. If you break a rule, you receive a warning. If you continue to break a rule, you are subjected to any consequences that follow. Consequences can vary anywhere from a PM explaining what you did wrong, to a ban for doing something exceptionally bad. The rules are subject to change at any time and you're expected to know them. If a change is made to the rules, a forum-wide PM will be sent out, or an announcement will be posted.
Topics
Please make sure you create a thread in the appropriate forum based on their descriptions. If you are unsure where to place your thread, PM an Administrator or Moderator. The Bored Board is the forum where anything off-topic can be discussed. This forum, however, does have its limitations; spammy, pointless, and one-word-posting threads are not allowed. There are two main threads for posts of this type: Chat is for users actively online, and The Completely Random Totally Off-Topic Thread (CRTOTT) is self-explanatory. Please use the CRTOTT to discuss anything silly, random, etc.
Posting
Please make sure you stay on topic in each thread. There has been several situations where a member says one thing, and the others get carried away by it. Please remain on subject. The thread’s topic is usually explained in the title, thread explanation, or the first post of the thread. If you are confused about the topic of a thread, ask the creator in a PM. This rule is not too bad of one to break, but it helps to keep the forums more organized.
Spamming
Spam is NOT allowed; it never will be. Though it is well-known, please do not let it be famous in here. Spamming is defined as typing off-topic posts, posting more than one post in a row in the same thread, posting using three words or less, etc. This also includes copying and pasting massive and almost endless reports from Wikipedia or whatever and placing it into a post, constantly talking in moving letters, non-stop smilies in posts, and so on. If you think something is spam, don't post it! Please, it will help keep the Staff's jobs easier by trying to hunt down every single spam post in all the threads in the forum. Each post must pertain to the subject, add something to the thread, and be written in complete sentences. Though sometimes people ask one-word answerable questions, please answer the question with that one word, and then add on to the thread with something else to say. Otherwise, the thread would just die after that last post.
Poll Voting
If a poll is set up with members as the choices, you may not vote for yourself, unless said otherwise. For example, if you are setting up a poll on "who has the coolest avatar," you may not vote for your own avatar. This also goes for the Presidential Elections; you may NOT vote for yourself for president. Doing so will result in loss of the privilege of voting in any poll for a period of time, or receive a warning level. Too high of a warning level results in a ban. The length of time for the ban depends on how badly or how many times you have broken the rules. You may not be permanently banned for voting for yourself, though.
Personal Messages
Members are expected to follow all rules in Personal Messages as they would on the forums. Please do not speak badly of or discriminate anyone in a PM. That is just plain old gossip; it has no point, and no benefit. All Personal Messages are logged when they are sent, except they cannot be viewed by the Administrator or Staff. Hence, that is why they are called "Personal" Messages. You are accountable and held responsible to the rules of any PM since no Staff member can moderate them. If any complaints are made or suspicion of rule breaking is present, please forward the PM to a Staff, and they will explain the situation. Getting off-topic in a PM is allowed, since it cannot be viewed by the entire forums. A PM is your own conversation with a single person, so feel free to talk as you please, keeping in mind to be kind and considerate towards others as well as respecting the environment.
Respecting Members and Staff
Respect is essential to the moderation and maintenance of the forum. Members should respect each other and offer no discrimination. Likewise, Administrators and Moderators are given their positions with a great amount of trust. Obviously, an Administrator will not be a hacker to steal personal info; the Staff are a trustworthy personnel. Although you may not agree with their decisions, you must abide by them to ensure a safe and fun environment. Generally, if you try to refrain from posting questionable content and breaking the rules, you will have no problems with staff. If you feel that a Moderator is being unjust, contact an Administrator. Please be aware that Administrators have final say in an issue.
Avatars
The maximum size for an avatar at the forums is 100 pixels by 100 pixels (100x100). The forum will automatically resize images larger than this. In this case, it is not too important to worry about the size. Please make sure that all avatars are appropriate. Nudity, profanity, suggestive images or text, and any material that breaks other forum rules is strictly prohibited from being used in an avatar. If you are caught using an inappropriate avatar, the Administrator will remove it after warning you.
Usernames
We expect everyone to use an appropriate username. If you sign up with an inappropriate username, we cannot change your name for you. We will either PM or E-mail you to create a new account with a more appropriate username within the next 24 hours. If you do not, your account will be deleted. Once you create a new one, your old will be removed.
Duplicate Profiles
From now on, members are only allowed one and only one profile. You can only have an extra account if the Administrator gives you permission to create another one. If for some reason you would like another profile, please PM the Administrator to ask for permission. ONLY [Insert Name Here] can give someone the ability to make another profile. The member list is always moderated. If one of the Staff or the Administrator finds a duplicate profile, the Administrator will delete the second account, and notify the user of the second account through their main profile. This rule is created in order to fight fraud and control the distortion of the true member count.
Warning/Banning/Suspending
We reserve the right to warn, ban, or suspend you at any time for breaking any of the above rules. If you are banned, suspended, or warned for an unknown reason, please email twohorizons@gmail,com or send a PM to an Administrator.

If rules are updated, it is the responsibility of the user to read the updates and abide by the updates. When the rules are updated, the new set of rules applies for all of this forum without exceptions for older members who joined before the updates were made. If you do not agree with any updates to rules, it is your right to leave the forums. Otherwise, by staying, you agree to follow all rules.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please follow all of these rules to ensure a safe and fun environment for all forum members. If you have any questions, feel free to email or PM an Administrator or Moderator.
Thanks for reading these rules, and have fun!
